Chantal Brundage, mezzo-soprano soloist for today is a 2010 graduate of VVS Central School.  She is a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church.  She has been guest soloist at and assisted by singing with local church choirs.  In 2009, Chantal received 1st place in the B Sharp Solo Competition in Utica.  She was a recipient of the 2010 OACC scholarship.  After participating in NYSSMA solo festivals for many years, Chantal was chosen for the 2009 NYSSMA All State Mixed Chorus. She will be a freshman at Nazareth College studying vocal performance in the fall.  Chantal currently takes private voice lessons from Jan Moore.  She will also be a soloist at this year’s Messiah Sing! Chantal is very pleased to be able to join you for worship today.

14TH TOUR OF HOMES to benefit The Rome Home, Sunday, Aug. 1st 1-5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at Rome Home or any board members for $10 or the day of the TOUR from any featured place for $12.

"STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL" Saturday, July 31st, Noon – 3 p.m. Volunteers are needed. Sign-up sheets are in Clarke Hall. Please consider checking out how you can help this year. Thanks again for all the help so far! Cost $4.00 adults, seniors & children 12 and under $3.50. All money collected from sold tickets should be turned into Tina, any questions call Tina at 271-7521.

ROME RESCUE MISSION DONATIONS: Please bring to church canned or dry food items the first Sunday of every month to support the Rome Rescue Mission Food Program. The collection for August will be August 1st.

ZION CHURCH OFFICE will be closed on Friday.

PARISH PICNIC will be Sunday, Aug. 22nd at 11 a.m., Lee Town Park. Sign up sheet will be posted in Clarke Hall soon.
