Zion is a Christian family called to provide fellowship and joy through our service with and to the community.
About
Zion Episcopal Church is a small, warm, and active community of Episcopalians in Rome, NY. We’ve experienced a lot of challenge and change over the last 5 years. So, we have committed ourselves to renewal and growth, and we are excited to be listening for where the Holy Spirit is calling us next.
As part of the Episcopal Church, we believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We also believe that each and every person, no matter what, is absolutely beloved by that God. Because of those beliefs, our Baptismal Covenant instructs us to proclaim by word and example the Good News of Christ, seek and serve Christ in all persons, strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human person. We don’t always live out those values perfectly, but we continually strive to structure our lives together and our ministry so that our community reflects that covenant and belief. If that sounds like a community you’d like to be a part of, we’d love to have you join us on Sundays for our Eucharist service at 9 a.m.
If you’re curious about attending, but would like to talk to someone first, please reach out to our priest, The Rev. Emily R. Hyberg, at revemily@zionrome.org. She would be delighted to hear from you.
You are also encouraged to check our events page for other opportunities to gather and connect.
