Christmas Eve Combined Service
A special combined Christmas Eve Service between Zion Episcopal & First Presbyterian Churches. The Eve of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ beginning at 4pm. Zion Episcopal Church, 140 W Liberty St, Rome, NY. All are welcome to join as we come together to celebrate the love that entered the world on that first, glorious Christmas night.
37th Annual Community Messiah Sing!
Featuring the Christmas music of G.F. Handel’s Messiah and the Hallelujah Chorus. Led by G. Roberts Kolb and accompanied by Sar Shalom-Strong. In celebration of our parish’s 200th anniversary, this year’s offering will feature soloists who have previously performed as soloists at Messiah Sings hosted by Zion. The program is free and a reception, with free will donations accepted, follows in the parish hall.

First Presbyterian Christmas Candlelight Service
First Presbyterian Church of Rome's annual musical celebration of Advent will take place in Zion Episcopal Church's beautiful sanctuary (140 W. Liberty St.) on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 4PM. The service will feature Adult and Youth Tone Chimes Choirs, as well as a 30-voice Senior Choir. The Christmas cantata "Love Came Down at Christmas", directed by Kimberly Nethaway and accompanied by organist/pianist Tina Toglia, will be the centerpiece of the afternoon. All are welcome to join us as we come together to celebrate the love that entered the world on that first, glorious Christmas night.

COMMUNITY BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
Community Blessing of the Animals led by Rev. Edwina Landry and sponsored by the combined congregations of Zion Episcopal Church and First Presbyterian Church. October 4, 2025 at 3 pm, rain or shine, in Zion’s Churchyard. Event will be moved inside if raining. We will be collecting donations of pet food and / or kitty litter to be donated to the Rome Humane Society. This is a free event and all are welcomed -- please leash all dogs! All pets (real or stuffed) are invited, or even pictures of your pet that has passed on! Hope to see you there!!!

A Special Combined Service Between Zion Episcopal & First Presbyterian Churches
Please join the parishes of Zion Episcopal Church and First Presbyterian Church of Rome for our special combined Sunday worship service followed by a joint parish picnic at noon.
Stained Glass Window Tour
Join us for a free tour of Zion’s beautiful stained glass windows led by The Rev. Sarah Lewis, based on her research into each of the windows adorning Zion’s buildings. A brochure titled “Windows of Zion,” featuring Lewis’ research and photos by Mike Colangelo, will be available.
